Les origines du Musée de la voiture remontent à 1926: l’idée de créer un tel musée à Bruxelles résulte d’une rencontre entre J. Courtmans et L. Crick. L’association « Amis du Musée historique de la voiture » est formée en 1927, et une importante collection est bientôt rassemblée grâce au soutien financier du secteur privé.

THE FOUNDING OF A CAR MUSEUM IN BRUSSELS

The origin of the car museum dates back to 1926: the idea of creating such a museum in Brussels is the result of the encounter of J. Courtmans and L. Crick. The association « Amis du Musée historique de la voiture » was formed in 1927, and an important collection was soon gathered thanks to the financial help of the private sector.
