VOOR EEN GESCHIEDSCHRIJVING VAN DE INGENIEURSOPLEIDING TE BRUSSEL
Na een overzicht van de evolutie in de Belgische wetgeving m.b.t. de ingenieurstitels (burgelijk ingenieur, industrieel ingenieur, technisch ingenieur), schetst schrijver de historiek van de ingenieursscholen uit het Brussels gewest. De oudste is de « Ecole polytechnique » opgericht in 1873, die in 1966 het ontstaan geeft aan de Faculteit van toegepaste wetenschappen, met het Nederlands als voertaal. De jongste twee Brusselse ingenieursscholen, met 1948 als stichtingsdatum zijn de IHRB (Industriële Hogeschool van het Rijk te Brussel) en het ISIB (Institut supérieur industriel de l’Etat à Bruxelles).
Abstract
FOR A HISTORY OF THE SCHOOLING OF ENGINEERS IN THE BRUSSELS’ REGION
After describing the evolution of the Belgian law – as fas as the engineers are concerned – the author is bringing briefly the history of the schools for engineers situated in the Brussels’ region. The older one is the Ecole polytechnique, founded in 1873, out of which grew in 1966 the Faculteit van toegepaste wetenschappen (for Dutch-speaking students). The last two schools have their origins in 1948: the ISIB (Institut supérieur industriel de l’Etat à Bruxelles) and the IHRB (lndustriële Hogeschool van het Rijk te Brussel).
La première question que je me pose quand je veux « sonder les reins » d’un homme, est pour savoir s’il a le sentiment de la distance, s’il aperçoit partout le rang, les degrés, la hiérarchie dans les rapports d’homme à homme, s’il distingue: c’est ce qui fait le gentilhomme.
